Via Taxi

It is a popular way for you to get around the city. Currently Guangzhou has more than 16,000 taxies running in the city. Different taxi companies are represented by different colored cars. Fares start at 10 RMB for the first 2.3 kilometers; each additional kilometer is 2.6 RMB and each trip charges 1 RMB fuel surcharge.

Getting to Downtown
Taxi is the most convenient and fast choice, but it’s high cost. There is a taxi queue outside the arrival hall. A trip downtown normally costs around RMB 150.00.
 

Railway Stations

The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway passes Guangzhou, the main north-south line through China , starting from the Beijing West Railway Station, through 98 cities and counties of Beiing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Shandong Province, Henan Province, Anhui Province, Hubei Province, J iangxi Province and Gunagdong Province, ending at Kowloon of Hong Kong.Guangzhou Railway Station is located on Huangshi West Rd northwest of the city. It can be reached by Metro Line 2 and public buses. 

 

Wuguang High-Speed Railway

short for Beijing–Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, Wuhan–Guangzhou Section, is a 968-kilometre (601 mi)high-speed rail line. There are 17 stations, including Wuhan, Wulongquan East, Xianning North, Chibi North, Yueyang East, Miluo East, Changsha South, Zhuzhou West, Hengshan West, Hengyang East, Leiyang West, Chenzhou West, Lechang East, Shaoguan, Yingde West, Qingyuan, Guangzhou North, Guangzhou South.

From Hong Kong to Guangzhou

There are three choices for you.

  • Take flights to Guangzhou at Hong Kong International Airport. It may take you 45 minutes. Alternatively, you may take Skylimo or Airport Mainland Coach at T2 Coach Station.
  • Take Guangzhou-Hong Kong Express Coach at Hong Kong International Airport or other stations in the city. It may take you three and an half hours.
